Is dyno tuning worth the money?

With just headers and a CAI on my Z06 I picked up 12 rwhp with a dyno tune.

12rwhp from a dyno tune after a Cold Air Induction and header (I'm guessing Longtubes?) install isn't bad. But what did you pay for that dyno tune if you don't mind me asking?

I've been thinking about doing the same exact thing for my stock internal '02 Z28 (Direct-Flo lid, MAFT, Kooks LT's, no cats, 3" H-pipe/True Duals) because it may be another year or two before I can afford a cam + install. I spoke to FLP (Finish Line Performance) regarding my car and they claimed it would absolutely be worth it as they stated they could not only improve my peak #'s some, but also all throughout the rpm range. BTW, they charge $450 for the full dyno tune. So, I'm debating this...Especially if it will really allow me to maximize my car's set-up in bolt-on form.
