How much more HP will a intake and pulley=

Default How much more HP will a intake and pulley=

Im thinking of buying a Ls6 intake and underdrive pulley. How HP gains can i expect ?? i now have long tubes, 4.10, GMPP ASA Cam, Lid, FREE MODS, and going to get a dyno tune soon. i thought i seen somewhere a LS6 swap made 26 more RWHP than a LS1 intake ??

26rwhp my ***. maybe 20 tops for the intake alone pulley and intake maybe 25ish

i would say around 25 hp. i figure 10 for the pully, and at least 15 hp for the intake. my guess may be alittle low. you may gain more since you are running a cam.

I think you'll get 5-8 for the pulley and about 15 for the intake. But the LS6 won't make 26rwhp. Hell you'll get that from a PORTED fast 90/90 with Heads and a Cam. But not an ls6

to be realistic, expect 5rwhp from the pulley and 10-12rwhp from the LS6 intake.

I have seen pulley's gain around 8-10 hp, but any gain is better then none at all

You will gain 10-12hp for intake and 5hp for the pullies. While you're at it,add a 224 228 cam and gain another 20-30hp on top of it.

I gained just over 12 RWHP from a LS6 intake and a ASP pulley.

10-12 from intake and 5-7 with pulley so about 15-20rwhp with tuning.

A less severe side effect is somewhat intended by the design of these pulleys. Since the alternator, power steering, and/or air conditioning units are not spinning as fast, corresponding dips in alternator voltage, power assist, and A/C effectiveness may be noticeable, especially at idle. The headlights may dim when coming to a stop, or the stereo may lower in volume, for instance. Is this a common problem that would occur with ASP ud pulley?

Ha... they claim 12rwhp on stock ls1, but would eventual engine damage result if this ASP pulley is not balanced with the engine?

No problems here bro, holds 13.0 to 13.1 volts with lights, and radio on at idle. Better mod for improved gas mileage vs hp increase. JMO

Well after my head and cam setup the pulley only added about 5hp Cant tell you what the intake did but cause i blew that out all in one shot but it went from 279 to 427hp after i was done with everything.

I'm pretty sure that LS1s are internally balanced.
