Default Redynoed The Viper After Tune

Heres a break down of my car..

99 rt10 Viper, 29 K miles..

no cats/air intake/ 1.7 harland sharp roller rockers..




stock tune vrs aem tune...

-2500........200/415..............................205/435
-3000........250/435..............................253/445
-3500........320/465..............................330/485
-4000........355/470..............................375/490
-4500........400/470..............................425/495
-5300........440/450..............................445/450

-stock peak tqe 482 at 3700 rpm's
-AEM peak tqe 497 at 4200 rpm's

final numbers..

stock-440/482
AEM..-445/497

Peak numbers werent much more but im pretty happy with the power under the curve..

*also their was a 2005 GTO with a 6.9 litre 416 CI with full bolt ons..he put down 480 rwhp standard. Standard I was 460 rwhp*

Not much though thank god, vipers are mean enough.....You said you picked up a lot more power under the curve vs peak. Do you have the before and after graphs for visual comparison ??

looking at the numbers you put up, you definately improved your power at 4500 rpms. You picked up 25 rwhp and 25 rwtq at 4500 rpms over stock, that justifies the tune in my book. Nice, should make each gear accelerate even quicker. What do you shift at ?????

You should have spun the car higher on the dyno; you may have picked up more power. I would shift that car higher than 5500 rpm.

Acceleration = HP/(Velocity * Mass)

I bet you make more power at 6000 than you do at 4000 rpm. When you shift from 1st to 2nd in a 2nd gen viper at 6000 rpm you drop to 4000 rpm. So, if you are making more power at 6000 rpm than you are at 4000 rpm then you will be accelerating faster. HP is inversely proportional to velocity, so if you make more power at the same speed you will accelerate faster.
