Great numbers out of that lil' ol' 347, John! Awesome combo of components! I am glad I chose you to spec my cam out for me and I hope to be as excited as I know your are about your numbers! Wish I could have been there...
As asked in a previous question: so what did you break?
Chop that beautiful car up to run 10's... don't need to!

Launch rpm was 4500 to 5000 and it was still spinning when the car came on. Track temp was over 120 and just stayed greasy. I'll have the car at the local 1/8 mile in a few weeks and as long as it hooks I'll raise the rpm till it spins and come down. Should be around 6500 or so I would think. Should be better DA also, as the 1/8th mile test and tune is at night and useally hooks pretty good.
John,
Was good to met you too buddy! Your car rolls out for sure! Thanks for the compliments on the car. Now get to repinning that 02 PCM would ya! That way I got someone to call when I do one for a customer!
Mike,
Yeah Dawg, it's been awhile. It's picked up a tenth or two since. To make it all work it takes alot of time and knowledge as you well know.
The heads are milled to 58cc and right out of the box. I just don't think there is ANY gain in doing any additional work to them.

It sure did make me feel good about only planning on doin a lil 347! Not that I could afford anything more... lol
Glad it finally paid off....even though something broke...but hey, thats how you know your doin somethin!

Here is one of the runs, but not the best. No one got the best run I don't think. You can see how bad the car was spinning in 1st.

I see you're running the hoosier qtp's and you say you spun or would of went 10's. Well, they did not work for me either. The M&H racemaster cheeter slick 26X11.5X15 hooks like crazy glue. If you need a 27'' tire they have them in a slick too. www.intercotire.com These tires hook hard as hell for me and a few buds. I do 1.42 60's on motor. Goodluck to ya.
