Default trickflow 215's and 242/248 .610/.615-110 cam

anyone have a idea what this combo will produce in power and 1/4 wise? i am running a forged 347 with 6.125 h-beam rods, diamond -2cc pistons, and a comp 242/248 .610/.615-110 cam. i will be ordering a fast 90/90 and the trickflow heads friday, so the mod list will be as follows, forged 347, trickflow heads with roller rockers, fast 90/90, hooker 1 3/4 headers into true duals with dumps, 60lb injectors and dual 255 intank pumps (currently run dual dry nitrous, car is dailed in and idles and drives fine with the cam and injectors now) as for drivetrain it consists of a th400 with transbrake and a 3600 stall (tight for nitrous) and outback i run a ford 9 inch with 35 spline axles with 4.30's and a spool. will change the gear if i decide to play on nitrous as i am sure i will run out of gearing. currently the car weighs 3740 with me in it, any input will be appreciated. thanks guys

I say high to mid 10s with that weight and about dyno numbers I think between 410-430rwhp with locked converter.

Good luck and Plz keep us posted about the numbers.

Not sure what kind of power you are going to be making but it is going to be sick !! You have a good heavy duty driveline so your numbers are going to be a bit deceiving. At any rate your th400 and 9 inch rear are going to get you down the track real quick. You probably will need to change that 4.30 gear if you plan on spraying. 3.73 's maybe, not sure. I could see you hitting a very low 10 or even 9's depending on the size of the shot. GOOD LUCK !!

^^^^^^ Like you said depends on the size of the shot
but none the less that car will go 9 with littel weight reduction and good set of gears for the nitrous.

Keep us posted.

Dyno #s are hard to say due to the nonlockup...which I'm assuming you have with the th400. My old 99 with the same cam and PRC stg 1 ls6 heads made 432 locked with a tci 4400 in a 4l60e w/ a stock 10 bolt w/ 3.73s FWIW. I think you'll be pretty happy with the ET though, regardless of what the dyno reads

I think on motor it could run in the 10's.... but the race weight is the killer. You get that down to 3500 or less, and the car should be able to run somewhere in the 10's on motor, and into the 9's on the gas.

fwiw the times in my sig last year was at 440 rw, but the suspension was far from working.. hopefully best that on motor by a 1/2 second before the gas gets to it

TH400's eat power on a dyno, especially our dyno (Mustang MD-1100SE). I have cars making 428rwhp (locked Yank converter, 4L60E trans) running 10.70's with a 3275lb race weight, so just take the dyno number with a grain of salt.

yeah i am going to try to get the weight down, and hopefully get in the 10's on motor, that is the goal, and with some gas i am shooting for 9's. just curious if this combo will make it. how are you guys keeping weight down? i had stock 17 inch rims and tires up front when i weighed the car with me in it. i plan on removing the back seat and spare tire and putting my skinnies back on the car to get it in race trim, that is about as far as i want to go saving weight, as i want to try to keep a street trim look. maybe in the future i will get a k-member, but for now i'll keep it stock.

my set up is some what alike and my race weight is 3865 with me in it and my best et with a 200 shot is 9.97 @134.9 mph. my cam is a little smaller and i'm running a th-350 with trans brake. if i was you and if your not going to spray alot i would go with a 4400 stall so you can get a good et on motor too. when i ran my 9.97 i had a ptc 4900 stall and it would flash to 5900 with nitrous and man this thing felt crazy off the line.good luck with your build.

I am also putting something close together.
347 CI
11.44:1
Wiseco -2.2 CC Flat top nitrous Pistons
K1 Tech./Carrillo H Beams
6.0L polished crank
Trickflow 215cc (58cc)
Vengeance Vindicator (240/244 .608/.598 @ .113 + 3, I may be a lil off on these specs)
Vengeance ported FAST 90 w/ NW 90 TB

I am running through a stock 4L60 right now, with a vig 3800 stall. I have a Rossler T2 TH 400 trans on order as well as a 9".

Most suspension upgrades, got rid of AC, and ABS and anything else useless under the hood. Any guesses on what kind of motor times I may run?

I have a 200 shot on tap, but dont think Ill really be using it to save that trans. I hope to dyno this weekend I will be sure to get back in here and update you guys with numbers/track times.

cool deal, the plan is to hit it with a 200 dry shot, so i think i will keep the stall where it is for now and see how it does, in the future i might have it restalled if it doesn't run what i am hoping for. first thing will probably be a rear gear change so i can pull some mph out of it without running out of gear.

are you running the 225 trick flows on the 347, i thought that would be too much head for our 347's. i only wanna buy heads once and was assuming the 215's would be the best route. i also am looking into the tnt f2 kit if my dry doesn't do as i would like.

I would be very impressed if that combo at that weight has the MPH to go 10's. I think that he will be in the 119-121 MPH range on motor. Might hit a 10.99 with a crazy short time if you can really get the suspension to work.

well today i ordered the trickflow 215's milled to 58cc w/pushrods, harland sharp 1.7 roller rockers, and a N/W 90 tb with port matched 90 fast intake. i will keep everyone updated on the progress. i ran the car may 17th 2007 and the best on motor was:
r/t----.074
60----1.726
330---5.034
1/8---7.757
mph--90.24
1000--10.135
1/4---12.155
mph---111.52
this will show the results after swapping the above parts and tuning, everything else will be the same, although i might lose a few pounds doing the swap in this memphis heat. look forward to meeting some of you guys in october for the lsx shootout at memphis motorsports park.

Bird, good luck with the new setup man. I hope everything works out good for you. I have to say that your old setup was moving on the nitrous. I got mine strolling pretty good now. I just think that weight is gonna do you the same way it does me and hold you back.
