what do i need to break the 500rwhp mark

Default what do i need to break the 500rwhp mark

2000 t/a 6spd longtubes headers so far what else to keep it /N/A stock cubes and crack the 500 rwhp, looking at some MTI STAGE3 heads from the western region for sale that and other stuff should get me past that,this other guy says with all other bolt ons and tuning these heads made 540 rwhp, help me out here guys if he can do it why can't i, let me know what i need and i will get it. thanks in advance.

Noway 540rwhp on stock cubes !!!! maybe you will break the 500rwhp with some TFS heads + 90mm ported fast intake + Veng cam...

Maybe he ment 540 on the flywheel with stock cubes cause we've seen several 500rwhp breakage over here ( LG , Vengeance 'n few others) so it's possible but not 540rwhp..anyway let him chime in !!!

I'd say something along the lines of 11.8-12:1 compression, ported TFS or AFR 225 heads, solid roller killer cam (something not very street friendly), and sheet metal intake revving out to 7200-7500 rpms losing all your low end torque, electric water pump, AC!, EGR!, AIR!, Speed density tune, headers, dumped duals, UD pulley, and the list goes on... You'll need to probably build a new motor to take the rpms as well. Its VERY tough to get 500rwhp consistent dyno numbers on stock cubes. Best of Luck to ya!

On stock cube you are playing big money if you want to have your car reliable and driven on street as well...and at the end you will have to upgrade everything around to handle the new power.

If i was you, i would just get a l92 setup. Pretty cheap really and you can get the power your looking for.

tfs heads, vengeance cam, pulley, water pump, fast ported 90/90, etc. and you will come close. throw in a l92 vengeance built 416 and youll have the torque to go with it!!

what model make and year car was this on, first off.. then if u could p.m me with all the mods you did cause i want to duplicate that to get as close to that power as possible, still need some pics of YOUR heads

thanks for all the replies and input guys keep em coming, i don't want to be misled and if this is not possible then i'll take another route maybe f/i, i won't die if i don't get this but it was stated and appeared pretty easy from this poster from those heads so i thought kool i'll bolt these on and all the rest of the stuff and be there...oh well

He probably made 540 rwhp with a stroker engine. He even mentions it will work with stock cubes, so odds are he had a 400ci+ lsx in his car (or he's full of it ).

540hp n/a on a ls1...no way. I had 463hp on a mustang dyno,on a dynojet i may of got 485-488. A lot of these 500+ motors are on dynojets,m6 have elect-waterpumps(some no power steering) and no 12bolt's w/gears in them.

Go with a big cam and find a dyno that reads high

But seriously, dynos are tuning tools...unless you're a supra owner

Dyno numbers are cool and all, but if the car doesnt RUN the number who really cares what the dyno says?
