Default MS4, FAST, stock ported 241's. #'s

Got the car tuned today on the street with hp tuners. The guy does alot of stuff for hp tuners and is pretty smart. Anyways he has created a table that tells you what hp/tq the car is doing by using the same methods as a dyno would and is VERY accurate. Got my last car within 2hp/and tq was right on compared to a dyno jet. To me this way is more accurate because its on the street. Anyways after tuning the car is putting down 458rwhp/410tq through a 12 bolt with 4.56's. It runs AWESOME and pulls VERY hard now. I was running a TSP mail order tune and its much faster now because it was running way right up high. Mods are:
-Home ported 241's with stock valves
-TSP MS4 cam
-FAST 90mm intake/ PTM 90mm TB
-Hooker comp LT headers
-ORY
-85mm lid
-85mm maf
-spec 3
-steel flywheel
-PST 3.5 aluminium d/s
-moser 12 bolt, spool, 33 splines, 4.56's

Those numbers sound highly inflate my friend. I feel the last time he may have just happened to get one right, but I wouldn't count on seeing those numbers on an actual dyno. Not trying to say that you're combo isn't a good one, or criticize your port job, but even top of the line pro heads wouldn't likely see those numbers.

Car was not dyno tuned it was tuned on the street, where the car is drivin and raced unlike the dyno.

Understandable. It seems like that it would be a hit or miss guess without a dyno though. He may have just gotten lucky. Hell I was within 3 or 4 hp on mine. Doesn't mean my butt dyno is accurate.

Well, If he had actually put down this number on the dyno, then I would be a little more open minded. The fact remains that this was a software estimation. This estimate is on par with HP readings off a G-Tech in my opinion.

Under extremely rare circumstances with MANY supporting mods and a hot dyno, yes, I agree, some lucky few people have done that.

Again, I do apologize, I dont mean to criticize of **** on your parade... I only mean to caution you that this may not be an accurate number. If you can post an actual dyno sheet backing up those numbers without any dyno tricks, then Ill fully take back all my skepticism and ill paypal you a couple bucks to buy a 6 pack of your favorite brew...

HP tuners said that my car made 710 hp at the track lauching on my 100 shot and there is no way that my car is making 710 even on the with 150 shot. I don't know how it calculates the HP but I was getting some 1.50 60' launches.

This is not with the HP tuners hp table. This is one he made himself and is much more accurate than the hp tuners scale.

When you hitting the dyno, I'm curious what it makes. If you can make that with stock valves and that setup, it shows your old combo on the red car(heads especially) weren't worth all the extra money!

well, the car i built (dads TA below) has home ported 853's, stock LS6 intake, and stock maf, BUT stock 10bolt 3:73 rear gears. it put down 417 on a not so hot mustang dyno, if you calculate 7% factor between mustangs and dynojets that puts me over 44x rear wheel on a dynojet. very believable to me.

did he have a wideband taking readings when he was tuning/loging? if not, then you cant really tell exactly where the afr is. also, its impossible to feel a few HP difference when tuning, which would make it darn near impossible to dial in the "best" tune for all out power. but thats the best place to get the driveablity perfect, and the WOT very good at least. and the fact that he has alot of exp. also means he's prolly got it really close (assuming here that his experience translates into good with tuning) at least.
I was very close to getting th eMS4, and my cam is just a tad smaller really on the intake side is really only difference.

so get it to the track and see how it does. I have yet to get dads car to the track, too many other things goin on between the two of us to get it together yet.

Id be very interested to see your track results since your combo is close to mine, with some wicked gears. what tires you got on that beast?

I do hear that, but it's not that hard to believe. At least it isn't bench racing.
