Default My dyno graph...hmm...

What do you guys think.

Full bolt on
vig 3600
3.73
224 112
2.5 5.3 heads

Seems a bit low to me, especially the torque. We are thinking the dyno reads a little low. My buddy with a afr/x4/90 setup only made 45x on the same dyno. Any input?

Yea i did some racing last night and beat a h/c lt1 6spd pretty bad from a dig.

Ive never seen a h/c ls1 a4 or m6 with that low of torque though, but it does run good and its safe now. Before it was WAY lean and pulling timing. I have a mail tune before.

My car makes great TQ and low HP, I just really have a hard time when it comes to trusting dynos on our Stalled Autos.

In my opinion, the dyno is great for tuning, you can see how each change can make a difference in power, but the REAL, HONEST story is told at the track by ET and trap speed.

The reason the torque looks so "low" is because the converter is locked.

the funny thing is, my other buddy "onyx rock" whos graph is below, cam only made 397/366 on this same dyno. It blows my mind how a cam only car can make 20 morerwhp and 30 more rwtq than a H/C, stalled car. pretty much the same cam too.

Nothing funny about it, its a geared and stalled auto. I'd expect the numbers to be lower than a cam only ls1 with stock gears (assuming its an m6).

Heres my graph,

My car was making 345 hp before the cam. I picked up 50hp with the 224 and Steves tune.
I told john we can run em to see how the cars stack up to each other.

If the cam only car wins, come see us, we're just down the road in Akron...

Looks like the Cam timing is wrong.I've never seen a TR224 peak at 6500rpm before.Looks like the Cam timing is retarded.

:wed: I agree with that statement. Looks like the cam timing is at least 4 degrees retarded. Dynamic compression suffers as a result, low and mid-range torque is lost. Try advancing the cam 4 degrees. Check the timing chain for excessive slack too.

How do I go about advancing the timing? By the chain? Also, if I have the timing advanced would I have to get it retuned? Thanks guys.

Onyx Rock - No, no track times yet.

I personally put the cam in both cars. I cant remember what cam was used in the cam and heads car but Im pretty sure its either the TSP or TR 224 cam. If I remember correctly I believe the timing chain that was used was the LS2 style timing chain. Maybe if u get a chance 99ccz28 bring ur car back up to me and we can check it out.
