Im guessing it has true duals due to the fact that it doesnt have any exhaust tips.

no, they said it has a "stock longblock." the longblock is the entire motor: heads, cam, lifters, valvesprings, bearings, you name it. if the longblock is stock, that means nothing inside the engine is changed. if they ported the heads, the longblock is no longer stock.

it says RWhp and RWtq. RW means "rear wheel." rwhp and rwtq is "rear wheel horsepower" and "rear wheel torque."

i'm starting to get irritated. people are posting and they didn't read the article. they said it was a STOCK LONGBLOCK. that means that they simply didn't touch anything inside the engine. it surely has headers, true duals, probably no cats, a carbon fiber driveshaft, a FAST intake manifold (at the least an LS6), a ported or larger throttle body, etc...and i bet it has a hell of an aggressive tune.

Im sure it has all that and they prolly took apart the engine and blue printed it, and prolly massaged some areas to make it better. Id be willing to bet that engine has been apart and they put all the stock items back in it so they can say its a stock long block. Just my .02

I only see what looks like the oval, flattened out POS y pipe not a header collector and maybe what might be a subframe connector. I also only see one exhaust pipe going over the axle. In super chevy or some other mag ( a friend showed me the issue ) a stock 02 LS1 crate motor put out 402 hp on a engine dyno. This car may just have a really agressive tune as someone else said. On hptuners site they have a pic of a car that runs 10.99's from what I remember and it is stock with some bolts on and an agressive tune. That's pretty impressive if you ask me.

With every possible bolt-on and lightweight anything that the engine has to spin I can see it.

I remember a thread not too long ago where EVERYONE screamed it couldn't and wouldn't be done. It was what, 6 pages long? I am still skeptical. I want to see a write up and a vid before I believe it.

i imagine this guy has underdrive pulleys, no A/C, an electric water pump, a carbon fiber driveshaft, very thin oils in his engine/trans/differential to minimize drivetrain loss, maybe even no alternator...or a big underdrive pulley on it. i bet the power steering is removed, too. with all the accessories that the engine has to turn removed or very underdriven, plus a CF driveshaft (lightest available), full bolt-ons and a very agressive tune...yea, i guess i can see it on an M6. maybe he even swapped 2.73's into the rear to show better dyno numbers.

Bah bah bah bah bullshit. I am assuming that the company went out of business that's why the link doesn't work. I'd say its because of these false claims.

well, the guy does have a dyno chart...true it may not even be for that car for all we know, but still, i believe it's attainable under the right conditions with lightweight everything, accessories removed, a super agressive tune, full bolt-ons, blah blah blah...and a cool day. again, maybe a gear swap is necessary to show those numbers, who knows. i'm sure the car is pretty much maxed out.

It's BS. When they first claimed those numbers (years ago) one of our members here challenged them to repeat them with one of us there to see it. They declined. He then offered his stock Z28 for there "conversion". They declined again.

Moving to the dyno section.

Different sped engineering then the sponsor here, the one who did that car was in SE Tennessee. It was supposedly the exhaust that made all the power, never heard much from them after they posted it up, dont know if the place even still exists under that same name.
