How does that work? Lightweight everything around the engine? Like featherweight accessories and driveline parts?

Elesha Walker's 2002 WS6 Pontiac Ram Air Trans Am and the superb quality and knowledgeable services of Speed Engineering has broken the worlds record for rear wheel horsepower with out any power additives or internal engine modifications to the stock LS1.

400.7 rwhp/401.6 rwtq SAE corrected without heads and cam, and without power adders! That's right, a totally stock long block LS1 engine making the same power and more torque than a lot of heads/cam cars have.

It may have been loosened up some as far as clearances. Who knows. Thats about 50hp higher than a very good full bolt on car.

I can believe it.. I remember talking to an NMRA guy that dominated a stock class by buying literally 25 sets of stock pistons, rods, cams, a dozen blocks, 50 sets of bearings.. .. ect. an basically taking a micrometer, precison scale, and calipers and blueprinting every square inch of each part to build 2 perfect tolerance engines to make maximum power.

this can't be. porting and polishing your heads is an internal modification. if this webpage is true, then they did this with stock heads, cam, valvesprings, pushrods, EVERYTHING! they said the LONGBLOCK IS STOCK. that means nothing in the entire engine has been touched from my understanding. the longblock is EVERYTHING.

yes it does.
they said it has stock heads/cam and internals and they probly meant the parts and the heads it came with but didnt mention anthing about them not porting it

please correct me if im wrong but dosnt sae corrected just mean that the power was corrected to the exact temps, pressures, and elevation to stay in the same peramitors of the factory. i never heard it meaning only to the wheels. and also i never heard of a car factory rating anything to the wheels.
