Default 418ci AFR'S, Futral cam A4 dyno results

Here is what I have

Iron block 418 forged parts w/9:1 cr....cr per engine builder
4.125" crank I think...long stroke...I wanted alot of torque originally
AFR 205'S W 66cc right out the box
Hooker longtubes w/ y pipe, nocats, Random Technology muffler
FMS 243/246 617/632 112lsa...stock rockers
harden pushrods
30lb inj.....everything else fuel-wise stock
LS6 intake,Shaner ported TB, stock maf
ASP underdrive pulley, Katech tentioner
LS6 valley cover
Built 4l60e
3200 VIG...flashes at 4300 though w/ this set-up
10 bolt w/3:42
Tuned by FROST

It pulled 433RWHP, 425RWTQ
I'm sure that was with the convertor locked..not positive.

Does that look like a good numbers for this set-up?
Nevermind the Cheetos stains on the dyno sheet....thats good for another 5 to 10 HP!

Whats with the 9:1 SCR? Are you planning on going Forced Induction? Otherwise, a 9:1 SCR just doesn't make any sense.

Plan was a Procharger. But I got a 6lb 9 ounce girl instead. So I have what I have for now.

Hey congrats man! Power isn't too bad, and once you save up that money, you can throw the charger on there as planned.

Best Regards,

I would say that your intake "system" is definitely holding you back. Between the maf, tb, and manifold you're probably a good 40-50whp off as they are choking those cubes.....

I would look at further modding that area of the engine.

Good luck

That is good advice.

FROST suggested going to 90/90 setup and also a different muffler after the dyno. There are a few things I will know I can change to get more power. I just havent seen alot of post with 418's w/ this compression ratio, so I was curious as to how my numbers hold up to what other have seen from similar setups.

I will say I am pleased with the numbers...knowing the compression is low and the intake is not ideal.

Those numbers look locked. In which case, an 11.5:1 CR, better intake and exhaust system would be probably good for 5-10rwhp out of the exhaust, 20-25rwhp out of a ported FAST, and a good 35-50 out of the compression. That puts you close to 500 through a locked converter.
