Maybe at MTI you guys don't know the LS3 displacement is larger than a stock LS1 that this comment is generally refering to?

I'm sure they know that, MTI does have a tad experience with LSx based cars...

Anyways, Those numbers are awesome, I'm assuming no tuning, stock GM cal, no tricks?

God I can't wait for the 2009 Camaro, the "detuned" LS3 that will most likely go into it is gonna be killer.

Displacement has nothing to do with it. He was comparing stock dyno with the LTs dyno. The myth is that LTs lose torque down low and he proved that wrong.

No, the myth is that 1 7/8 primaries lose torque down low compared to 1 3/4 primaries.

It's a very exciting time for car enthusiasts. The LS3 looks like another promising addition to the LSX family. I can't see GM making the decision not to place this engine in the next Camaro...

We've tested LG's against Kooks 1 7/8 many times. Back/back Kooks made same/more power everytime across the rev range.Sorry, but it is the truth on Ls1's, Ls6's ect. If you want to compare then buy the headers and do back/back testing. If you don't it's not worth fighting about it

It's nice to see the new motor's putting out all the power in stock form

Lg now needs to make a pro long tube in 1 7/8 then it would easily outpower the kooks.

are you saying you tested 1 3/4 LG's against 1 7/8 kooks? I would expect the 1 7/8s to out perform the 1 3/4 headers on 376ci motor.....

me too except for this one circumstance where Lg put their 1 3/4 pro long tubes on a heads and cam ls7 and put down something like 611 rwhp and they were talking about putting on a 17/8th header and they said they like the torque curve of the 1 3/4 and thought they would only gain a few ponies up top with the 1 7/8th header.

Why would they say ANYTHING to the contrary???

If they said "one could step up to bigger headers like 1 7/8" and pick up a bunch of power or you could stay with our 1 3/4" and lose that extra power . . . " that would be the equivolent of business suicide

So regardless of the potentially high power differences between the LG's and Kooks on a bigger cube motor, it would be prudent from a business standpoint for LG to say the "difference" is minimal to say the least

Very good. C6's could probly take a 2" header no problem with the room.
