TSP Torqer V.3 results.
TSP Torqer V.3:
231/234--.644/.598--111 LSA
M6, Pacsetter LTs, Weiand LS6 style intake, magnaflow highflow cats, and flowmaster 80 series.
The Weiand intake has been opened up to 85mm, and the runners have been polished. A ported 85mm TB is also on it.
Got the car dyno tuned this week and it put down 380 rwhp and 370 rwtq. I know that these are a little low for the cam I have, and I am trying to figure out the reason why. I think I know, but I want some other opinions. This car has always been strong, it went 12.9 @110 with just the headers and old LS1 intake.
Anyways, the guy at the speed shop (will remain unnamed for now) , when asked why the numbers were so low, replied that it was the Weiand intake, and that I would get a significant gain if I switched to an LS6 intake. I on the other hand, believe it is the exhaust (cats and flowmaster) that is the main restriction. This thread shows that the Weiand actually flows slightly better than the stock LS6:

So what is the limiting factor here, exhaust or intake? And please don't tell me about the horrible heatsoaking issues, or tell me to buy a FAST. I think I will add a e-cutout and get it dynoed and see if the numbers don't get bumped up.

so im assuming you have a lid?
how old are your plugs, wires, and fuel filter?
do you have a under drive pulley?
most numbers you see are going threw a cut out or dont have cats and have a better flowing number.

I have a lid, egr!, air!, ect. All the standard stuff except an UD pulley. The plugs are brand new. The wires and fuel filter are not, but I doubt that they have any issues.
Anyone else wanna chime in?

i have seen 24 hp difference from my cutout compared to the Edelbrock muffler which is about the same as a flowmaster. Maybe even slightly better then a flowmaster. I would look there first and your cats are maybe costing a couple hp as well. other then that you should do pretty good next time with a cutout

Thanks, this is what I was thinking. Anyone have any dyno results on cutout vs. flowmaster (or I guess any catback WITH LTs)? Either a link or personal experience?

Bump. What kind of gain do ya'll think I would see with a cutout? 5? 10? 15? 20? I have a date with a dyno on the 21st, so I will let you know exactly then.

What king of highway mileage are you getting with the T3?
Just curious since i am going to install one next month.
And you will probably end up close to 450 once you get the cutout.
My bad thought he had 4 something

It is an M6, and from what I can tell, I haven't lost much mpg at all, but I do have a tune, so that helps some. I have gotten around 20mpg average on a tank. I should also note that I still have the 3.42 gears which helps also. I would be thrilled if I picked up 15-20rwhp...but even more if I picked up 70!!! Haha, if only it was that easy!
I can try and post the graph a little later also.
