He didn't list what size AFR heads they were, but if they're 225s, I doubt it's the heads holding the combo back. There have been plenty of AFR 225 headed motors making 550 rwhp or more. You see them more on the Corvette forum then you do in here, but they're out there.

We need more details on the vehicle plus a dyno graph would help out.

Damn....Don't know how my dyno got discussed over here but imagine someone lifted it from the caddy forums...

Comp Cam - (although nasty) I'm not 100% but was told in the high 240's (still confirming as we speak)
Katech 427 short block
AFR 225 72cc heads
FAST 90mm intake manifold
LS2 Throttle Body
Kateck camshaft/knock sensor adapter harness for LS2
Catless B&B - X pipe
Kooks 1 7/8 headers

Although crued for now I'm using a stock tube (no room) into a volant box/filter ---

Pics of dyno

Obviously I'm getting more nervous after breaking into the engine because I was really hoping for higher numbers.

thx,
Chef

461 rwhp 441 rwtq on a Mustang Dyno is very respectable for a CTSV. Hard to compare it to a dynojet as the Mustang Dynos vary more based on the variables you can input per vehicle. Love tuning on them though.

Yeah, if they loaded with the weight of the car, that would really pull the numbers down. Before you have a heart attack, find a dynojet and make a quick pull.

Does it feel strong? Take it to the track and see what she's got unless it is actually running poorly.

Feels real strong...Stronger than the LS6 with supercharger - torque all the way through and no lag or heat soak.

He did mention 25% variables were added I believe? what does that mean?
