Default 383 le2 h/c/i numbers

Got the car to Ed today. Despite a alt. that was new dying, bad gas, and getting a miss at the end I still managed 436.9 rwhp and 407.2 rwtq. I figure there is 1 or 2 more left once I fix the miss and get another new alt. I've got a few other little things mainly with the compression being higher than I thought so I will need to find a way to raise the octane alittle. Numbers were through a 6 speed and 3.42 10 bolt.

It's a speed inc shortblock, electric waterpump, stepped kooks headers, le 3.2 cam, 58mm tb, 30 svo's, 3 inch off rd y-pipe, tsp rumbler exhaust, dynaspark, as for the compression I have no idea due to the fact that speed inc never sent a spec sheet. I know it likes more octane than 91 pump. Don't remember the flow numbers on the heads and I had the intake ported also. Oh and a 4 inch aluminum driveshaft. Is that enough?

Oh I got to regape the plugs and I used impala head gaskets. Racetronics boost-a-pump, Ram stage 4 clutch, asp 20% underdrive which I plan to place due to the fact that I have a small vibration, which I think is being caused by my flywheel being for a normal lt1. I've got call speed inc and see in they internally or externally balance the 383 lt1 shortblocks.

: ) Nice numbers.

What are the approximate specs on the cam? Head flow numbers? Did you ever figure out the final compression ratio?

I have no idea what the compression is due to the fact the speed inc would never send me a spec sheet which I requested when I bought the block. Right now I have a slight vibration which I believe is being caused by the flywheel so I'm going to get the flywheel and clutch balanced. I called speed inc once I realized I had a vibration and asked if they balance their stroker motors internally or externally and the answer I got was,"Yea, I'm pretty sure we balance internally". I told them I had a ram stage 4 in it and they said to balance the clutch and flywheel. Oh these numbers aren't through duals their through a normal tsp rumbler. I think once the altenator is replaced, the plugs get gapped correctly and I get the miss taken car of it will make alittle more. The new alt died on like the 3rd run and then the miss came back.

What do you guys think a set of duals, a smooth bellow from the throttle body to the airbox, and descreening and porting the ends on the mass air would be worth? Oh I'm using and ultra z hood and airbox. Ed worked on the tune from about 9 in the morning till almost 4 in the evening so alot of props to Ed Wright.

PCm for less did the 385 base tune, and i fine tuned it on the dyno.

I have been doing the same, pcmforless, and myself on the dyno..

I'm looking at a FAST XFI on my new setup, i'll probably have Boost Performance here in Amarillo tune it.

please email me today

I can get you close on your compression with a little info.

I am sure it is upwards of high 11's though and 91 octane is border line.

get me the following :

CC of head.. is the 57cc correct ?
Gasket used

I am sorry about not getting you a spec sheet, but the builder never supplied us with one either.

hope to hear from you today
