Is this with the newer bigger cam? I thought you said bigger wasn't better? Looks like solid gains. I'm just still wondering why you cut your pulls so far before 7000 rpm.

Patrick, this isnt the larger cam. This graph represents a 244/248 camshaft from RPM... Jeremym called us wanting to pick up peak power with good street manners. We cut him a 254/254 .595/.595 113 LSA camshaft that we have used several times in the past with great success. In his motor he lost quite a bit down low (25 or so) and only picked up about 9rwhp peak...

Ya win some, ya lose some... This one didnt fit the bill....

Ethical response Ron. I respect you for not attempting to spin this a different direction. IMO, just because he had better power down low on the 244/248 vs the 254/254 does not mean everyone will experience the same results. One easy factor would be whether or the car has XX stall or XX stall if it where an automatic car. Tuning also plays a huge roll, as well as manifold design and engine stroke/CI and DCR etc.......

I wonder what happened to the "other" cam?

Yea...What's up with that? The graph looks like you only spun it to 6300 rpm or so. Spin that bitch to 7000 rpm and see what it will do.

Yep! I hope I can get it all finished in the next week. It will almost be a new car once it's done. I have put coil over system, new cross drilled 14" brembos, new tires all the way around, New headers, exhaust, new engine. Now just need the front painted and it will be done.
