Just installed Tony Mamo ported Fast 90 with NW tb. At the same time changed cam from 224/224 114 .581 to 228/228 112 .571. Rest of Mods are in signature.

Before 406rwhp/371rwtq After 429rwhp/390rwtq

Decent gains, useually Ported Fast 90/90 does that alone, or close to it, has the car been retuned? Or working on the old SD tune.

It was retuned. I Have run both of these cams. The 228cam on 112lsa peak torque is about 400 rpm sooner. They are within 5hp of each other.

Matter's if the car needs a ported 90mm. I've seen cars lose hp with them.Rarely happens but does happen.

Too bad the new Cam didn't fit.Hopefully this winter the pistons will get cut.

What happened at 6,300 RPM? Looks like valve train may not be keeping up.

It's called letting off the gas.
Happens on A4's some times

Don...

Cut Vettenuts some slack....if you let off the gas why would you get back in it for a few hundred RPM.

I was thinking valve control issues as well to be honest with you.

Nice results by the way....I especially like the TQ gain.

Regards,
Tony

I have the old man flinch sometimes when trying to watch 3-4 gauges at once,

After that run I backed it up to 6900rpm which had no dip.

I'm just playin with Vettenut's, he know's I love him

nice gains, you'll have no probs hitting mid 11's and maybe a bit better. I like when people post dyno comparisons, it really helps to justify a particular mod and not jsut taking peoples's word on them.

I wouldnt port the 90TB,I have seen some idle issues with them along with power loss.I beleive this other cam was worth maybe 5RW like I said on GTO tech and the intake was worth at least 20RW....Pretty good gain, and like Mamo said the TQ looks great,I love the FAST but its just too much money for me,I'm porting my LS2 myself and hope to net 5 to 7RW out of it.....

Your setup is impressive

Thanks, I can really feel a SOTP difference with these mods. I'm still amazed by this little 346ci motor. Feels like my old 462ci big block Monte Carlo.

Just to be clear.. Were these gains going from stock LS1 intake, LS6 intake, or unported FAST to the Mamo ported FAST?

It's not clear what you started with. Thanks.
