Another L92 package result...
#42
I just ordered Ricks cam for my SSTB with a LS2 bolt-ons plus LT headers also stage 2 L92 heads. I have know idea what to expect but trust Ricks experience in this area. I will post dyno numbers & track times next month. This is a 4400 lb SUV so we will see how it like the cam/heads install. I ran 12.12 @ 112.93 before install & headers. Rick seems to be cutting edge on his L92 heads cam combo's.

I can tell you that you wont get much out of me. Rick will atleast give you a ball park. But research the stuff yourself, or try it and see what works, or find the tuner that you think has the best results and buy a cam from them. If you are a DIY guy not willing to buy a cam, then dont. Do it on your own. It irritates me when someone asks for specs so they can use someone else, free of charge, to get a leg up.
I know Rick isnt the only one doing the work, but its like asking for a free ride. At least spend the 400 or 500 bucks on the cam to find out what you thought it was all along
Im backing Rick because he does excellent work, has cars that drive well and is a great tuner. He knows his stuff, and I send all of my west coast customers to him because I know they are in great hands.
Dont take offense to this. Profit is not a dirty word, and someone like rick gets his paycheck and feeds his wife and kids by doing what he is doing now. Give the man a chance. He isnt getting rich doing this.

it probably won't be too much longer before other shops figure it out,and everyone will know eventually..
i have an idea what lobe he's using,at least for a 4" bore application..that is,if i'm understanding the flow properties of the big intake port/valve of the L92 head correctly...

hmmmmmm So what you are saying is..... Find someone who is educated in seat timing events at .200 and .050 and everywhere else during the cam's rotation.... and you have yourself a good cam profiler???????
Sign me up!
Like they say... there is only 1 way to make 2 different 224/224 115 lsa cams with no advance..... and that is to put them on different lobes. It is funny.... i know of 2 companies that make 224/224 cams... and only one of them is smoking the other!

I had mine weighed on certified scales at 4440 lbs (SSTB) I will pull weight after my cam heads install. The above weight is less spare, lighter exhaust system (true duals)
and light wheels. I have 350 more pounds I can pull for track only. If I pull the 350 lbs I can run 11's as is. Jegs cheap racing seat & slider about 20 lbs. driver side only. Pulling the rear seat (about 15 min to do) 125 lbs. Both heavy front electric seats 175 lbs. The back bumper hitch & support 85 lbs. (takes 30 min) cover shell goes back like stock without it. That is 385 lbs - 20 lbs = 365 lbs less track weight (2wd) remove sway bar 18 lbs better transfer. Empty big *** window washer fluid tank 10 lbs. I will add the stage II L92 heads/cam & long tube headers replace the Nitto DR's with a sticker MT DR 305-35-18" for .15 better 60 ft. all the above will take my 12.12 time down to low 11's high 10's. Next subject GM put a smaller exhaust valve into the L92/LS3 for a reason to increase velocity for a cleaner cylinder (less reversion & a large intake for a full fill) stop thinking old school when picking the cam. Let Rick make his $100.00 mark up & grind it right the first time? That is a easy one.

Sounds like you're getting some nice numbers there. I will keep you in mind when I am ready to swap out my stage 3 Katechs for some L92's on my 404.
Do you have any carb setup grinds available yet? I am running a Comp cam now with 232,236 duration on a 108 separation with around .600 lift, an Edelbrock Super Victor intake and Holley HP950 carb. I won't need a wide lobe sep. just to make the computer happy unless of course the L92's need it that way for some reason.
