The fuel feed for the nitrous system comes straight off the schrader valve on the fuel rail. It may be a bit of a pressure drop though. I have a mech autometer gague that I'd like to T into that hose and check it. I even double checked the jets in the wet nozzle and verified the sizes and all was good... matter of fact, it had the biggest available fuel nozzle in it already. it was the fuel jet for the 175 shot... just points back to a pressure problem. Its got a 255 pump in it, shouldnt be dropping... I guess I'll have to take 'er easy until I get it straightened out. IDC got up to 114-115% last night on motor on one of our logs...

After looking at the a/f curve vs torque curve, it was leanest at peak torque. Then tapered back rich as the Tq fell off... Injectors definitely need to be changed, but I also need to check the pressures.

Def time for injectors. What do those things flow? I dont do many trucks. Mostly Vettes, fbodies and goats. I wouldnt think you'd be outrunning the injectors with just bolt ons, but I seen weirder ****.

Thats a funny thing... 2000 was a split year for injectors in the trucks. in 99/early 2000 the 4.8/5.3's got 19#'ers and late 2000< they got 24's... From what I have seen, the trucks with anything bigger than a 224 cam, and bolt ons run out of injector above 5K. My cam's not big by any standard but its plenty healthy for the 325 cubes its trying to feed.

I believe my truck has the 24's, but the truck injector pigtails are different, and taller so if I were to go with some different (car style) injectors, I'd have to cut/splice my whole injector wiring harness and do something about the height. The 8.1L truck injectors are 31#s and the 8.1L marine (like a mercruiser outdrive) are 42's and require no wiring changes and fit right in there with no problems. Now, I'm trying to find some marine injectors to put in... with heads and a little dry shot I'm afraid of outgrowing the 31's as well... The second stage is going on it next year. we'll see how much the 5.3 can take before she goes *pop*, then its time for a 5.7L bore and forged slugs

Very nice numbers through the 9". Get those tuning issues worked out and they should be even more impressive. Have you been to the track yet? I'd love to see track numbers once you get it tuned!

Hey guys, this chap has 10-15 left in the tune easy. It literally had 8 deg KR at the hit of the throttle, and didnt let up til I did.

No ones knocking his numbers.... They are very good, especially going thru the 9". We were just letting him know what others have put down.

Im sure he'll break the 360rwhp mark once the tune is straight.
