Default "Full Bolt on" Dyno

FULL BOLT ON (mod list on my fquick in sig)

Max power = 345.54 - Max torque = 352.35 - SAE smoothing = 5 - A/F was between 12.73 and 13.00 whole run.

Supposidly the dyno was jipping everyone about 10 hp/tq from what everyone was saying, even so, im satisfyed.

Last dyno was just lid, catback and p&p throttle body which = 313/326. So i believe it jipped me just a bit as ive added ls6 intake and pacesetter longtubes, 3in. ORY and ASP U/D pulley. Then agian this is all through a 9" with 3.70 gears

LOL agreed. H/C doesnt count as bolton. If that were the case then a turbo and any power adder would be considered "bolt on"

How does a DJ 'jipp' you of HP? Do you just set it to subtract 10? And 'jipp' you as compared to what? another dyno? Same dyno on a different day?
And did you ask the dyno operator about this?
We ran 4 cars that I previously tuned. 3 outta 4 ran the exact numbers as when they were tuned. The one that didnt had some KR. As did yours.
If you want to call me I can tell you whats up. I can also email you a graph thats alot easier to use for posting on the 'net, if you've got photobucket of similar.

I think what he's saying is some dyno's give different readings (even if there the same brand.) I mean surely you've heard of a stingy dyno?

I dyno'd 303n/a on a dyno in my town, went to OKC and dyno'd at 296n/a so, there are some factors and then there are dyno's that just read lower

I know exactly what he meant. Its my dyno hes talkin about.
The point I was trying to make is there is alot more reasons for not putting down the power you expect than blaming the dyno. How about 8 degrees of KR through the entire pull.
Usually a stingy dyno will not be off a set amount. It a % thing. If its off 1 or 2 percent, then the difference will be greater the higher the power output of the car.

I think you took what i was saying wrong....i definatly made the numbers i had hoped for, and ive never had a problem with you or your shop/dyno! I was just saying that a couple people said they thought it was jipping them. I believe i also said i was satisfied weather it was or not! I didnt bring it up to you because i didnt think it was anything that was worthy of a confrontation (expecually considering the KR). Sorry if it sounded like i was down talking your shop (which i had no intentions of)

I dont think you were down talkin the shop. Not at all. I was more gettin at the reality of your issues. You two need to get with your tuner. You both had ridiculous KR. You and the PU.
Yesterday I ran 4 cars I had previously tuned. 3 out of 4 ran exactly what they ran when I was done tuning them. A couple of them months ago.
The GTO with the maggie, 532 yesterday, 531 2 weeks ago.
07 C6, 378 yesterday, 378 two months ago.
C5 H/C, 424 yesterday, 424 MONTHS ago.
The one that didnt had some KR.
Theres things you can do in a tune to assure a car will make repeatable numbers. I know these cars were tuned on my dyno, but I can guarantee if they go to another DJ they will be real close.
Dont want to name names, or throw anyone under the bus, but you need to get with your tuner and get it straightened out. Theres no reason for 8 deg of KR thru the whole run.
And BTW, stay safe on your deployment.

I think both of these are my car Ed. I did 424 in May & 424 1st pull yesterday. I think I need to seafoam and maybe some better gas. Thanks for the tune and the dyno day.

Nice numbers though the 9". Get Chauncey to work the few kinks out and see if you can break the 360rwhp mark.

I was able to break 346rwhp thru a 12bolt n 3.73s. Only lid n longtubes with the ls1 intake....

I got the KR worked out with my truck... feels like it would actually make the numbers I wanted it to now... now I just need to address those injectors... 114% IDC is a little much

Yeah thats pretty crazy. Seems like if you were sprayin enough fuel thru the nozzles, it wouldnt need that much thru the injectors. Maybe check for pressure drop? Where you tapped in for the fuel supply for the NOS?
