Default Dynojet

That's a good question. I would be looking for a dynojet sheet for comparison if anyone has one. Thanks.

I have one, I have to find it though. My hp and torque were pretty nice, peak numbers were 338.6/351.8 with 160k+ miles on a dynojet, just a few ponies less on a dyno dynamics (337 RWHP @ 5650 rpm's
339 RWTQ @ 3250 rpm's). I will try to get my dynojet sheet scanned tomorrow.

NOTE - the graphs on each side are on a different scale

The car last dyno'd 309/304 with full bolt-ons, th400 w/4000 stall on a dyno that showed 30hp less then the dynojet listed above.

I compared your stock dyno to my stock dyno. Both are dynojets at same latitude (Houston vs. Baton Rouge) and pretty close temps. Here are the differences..

RPM
Me
You

3500
205
211

4000
240
255

4500
267
287

5000
290
311

5500
300
318

6000
288
308

So I think my sig is right. My car is down on power. It doesn't look like I need the driver mod after all.

One more interesting mathematical fact... Your car is accelerating faster than mine. In other words, not only are the absolute HP numbers higher @ each rpm but the slope of your curve is steeper below 5250 than mine and flatter above 5250 than mine.

RPM Range interval Points
Diff in HP at interval points Me
Diff in HP at interval points You

3500/4000
35
44

4000/4500
27
32

4500/5000
23
24

5000/5500
-10
-7

5500/6000
-12
-10

My curve visually is a straight line from 3500-5000, whereas yours is concave over that same interval.

Keep in mind tee-boy I have an '02 which has better heads and a LS6 intake from the factory so it will have higher numbers.

If you still have the LS1 intake that is stock on the '98 replacing that with a LS6 intake will pick up lots of power on the top end.

Dumping that slowmaster for another catback or getting a cutout will help as well if you like the sound of the flowmaster.
