Default How many seconds?...

How many seconds should a pull take on a stalled A4 car? I ask because my pulls took anywhere between 10-17! seconds once the pedal hit the floor. This was on a Mustang Dyno...locked in 3rd but stall unlocked...3000-6000 RPM pull. We never got to power tune it yet because we couldnt get a strong baseline (I need an O2 bung because my dumps caused troublew wideband, and my coolant sensor is bad causing erratic logs)...The car was running very rich (maybe 1.5 points rich)(The O2s were showing 940-950)and showed 318HP..the best pull. I was just worried to hear it crank so hard so long. I guess the 3.23s are killing it huh?...That and being so rich?..More tuning is planned next weekend, but I am scared something is going to fly out of this thing!

Sounds about right on a MD. Just think about it, next time you are driving you car. Start of from a roll in 3rd gear and got WOT, how long does it take you. I want to say mine was about 15sec. On a dynojet it was only 7sec maybe 8.

I guess everyone thinks its normal? Its hard to find any dyno vids online of stalled auto cars unlocked....because everyone who lives for the number has an M6. I dont care about the number, I want it tuned perfectly.

Low power and a long gear makes the pull last awhile. You should see us run a Civic on our dyno.I can go out and get a coffee before the pull is over

Dyno Pulls on a Mustang Dyno will last a L O N G time. They're typically twice as long as on a inertia dyno (such as a DynoJet). Even a F-body with a 2.72:1 gear you can get out and start microwaving your burrito and get back to the car before the test is done.

Good idea, now to go get a microwave

Bone stock / Bolt-on cars seem to take a while with the 2.73 gear, factory autos are horrible. I guess were used to 600+hp

Ok thanks guys, you have set my mind at ease. I just wanted to make sure things seemed normal. I was glad to hear that it was way rich..cant wait to lean it up now that I welded a bung in for a better a/f reading! Im sure there is more than 320RWHP in this thing! They said I was about a point and half rich of stoich for an LSX car so there must be some horses hiding in there!

We are up to 340 at this point, but the A/F is still dipping into 11.8 range from 4000-6500, so there is some good power left there I am sure! I think it is the cat over-temp needs to be disabled. We are going to try that.
