What to expect with PRC 2.5 5.3's?
What to expect with PRC 2.5 5.3's? What kind of numbers should i expect? Im doing a forged 347 with a 236/242 601 610 114 cam. it has pacesetters with H-Pipe. 42# injectors through a spec 3 and stock rearend. LS6 intake and all bolt ons except for EWP. I am having a hard time choosing heads and for the price Im thinking the PRC 2.5 5.3's considering Ive seen most people seem to like them. Does anybody have these heads with this cam or one close to it and if so how did they work out?
Well, a motor I just built with those heads, an MS4 cam, which is a little larger than yours, but otherwise sounds like the same setup put down 417rwhp through a stock auto with a 3800 stall,(locked converter), and through a magnaflow exhaust. A friend of mine with a cam setup pretty much like yours, but with Patriot heads put down 440rwhp through a 6 speed.

We typically see about 40hp gains from the PRC head install. I think you'll get some additional posts in the next couple of days, maybe everyone's off enjoying the weekend.

pay attention here monday night, i just put a set on my car. it's not running YET, but will be getting tuned by Ed Wright in Tulsa, OK monday morning. i'll be sure to post the results in here for all to see....my cam is smaller, but you can have a good idea nonetheless....add power to yours for a bigger cam and stock rear (versus my 9")
I'm 98 formula with an A4. When I was just cammed (tr224/112 &ls6intake) I put down 349rwhp. I added the TSP stage 2.5 5.3 heads and ported fast 90/90 and now put down 417rwhp 407rwt(corrected) uncorrected it was 425rwhp
