ARP rod bolts are cheap insurance, and necessary. i didn't have the extra cash for them before the car got tuned, and i figured i had a LITTLE time before i HAD to have them, but literally on my first time out beating on the new setup, it broke. car only has 30,000 miles on it too. if you have a lower rev limiter making the same power i was, you might be safe, but it's stupid not to put the rod bolts in if you got the money, they're only like $100 or so i think. a 6800rpm limiter is a good place to start, but mine was good for 7200, i think it actually mechanical over-revved.
