One bottle is $17.95 and depending on your application can treat up to a full tank.....

The added $17.95 to every fillup would be enough for me to not want the extra 15 rwhp or so. I'd be happy with a bit safer tune that would run fine with a quality 93 octane fuel.

Please don't think I am knocking your results, 705 rwhp is AWESOME !! I just think a safe 650 rwhp would be fine by me.

Octane boost is a small price to pay for an already stupidly modded car.

Think of it as the same as the need for silly expensive tyres to get traction, looked at it that way, the extra $300 per tyre to run P-Zero or PS2's over a regular tyre can be amortized over the lifetime of the tyre - then back calculated per mile and suddenly it all makes sense

These cars we build end up costing a huge amount anyway - so a crazy 700rwhp buildup with interior mods, bodywork, paint, sticky tyres, big wheels, brakes, insurance and fuel for a year costs about $5 per mile for an 8,000 mile year assuming nothing breaks - the cost per mile only drops about 5c if you eliminate the race gas @ $7 a gallon or octane boost t $17 can ....

sounds fair enough I just bought a case of TORCO. I think it costs slightly less than the octanium.

OMG, that graph is sick. How long do you think the bottom end will hold up?

Well we did an 01 C5 that is putting out close to the same power and has been driving it that way for around a year now

We also did a 715rwhp stock bottom end C6 that was featured in Vette magazine that lasted for about 8 months, the driver was pretty taxing on the car and it eventually lost head gaskets and then was upgraded to a 402

When you put it that way it makes more sense.

This is a tad off the subject but if you dynoed that ZO6 @ say 5000' da and then took it to 600' da would it make more power? I am asking mainly to see if it would make more boost at 600' da than 5000' da. I realize the normal correction factor but can the dyojet computer tell that it should make more boost due to denser air.12# @ 5000' 14# @ 600'?
Thanks
