My old 346ci combo made more hp then that. My 402ci made 517hp 470tq with only 200mi on it. My timing was able to go to 30deg with no knock at 11.8:1 comp.my but also has over 11.5:1 comp with 30 deg timing. Bad sencors,low oct gas maybe.

I've seen and heard on the Cadillac forum this car was the unicorn of all V's...
This definately was the nastiest of the Vs I've seen in my 4-5 years hanging around. Looking, sounding and build sheet/ resume. I stumbled upon a link to this thread. I can't wait to hear more about it. It's a shame it took 10 months to get sorted out, but I guess that's what happens.

Stop trying to compare peak numbers. I'll bet your old 346 was down 100-150lb/ft tq/hp through out the curve until around 5500 rpms
