The Speed World GT C5 corvettes used these

No it will not be a streetable head cam combo and is a bitch to tune
No. not at all like what you just said.
Still had the factory shut off on it.

I know you want to believe whole-heartedly what the GM book claims, but what they claim is with picture perfect conditions, tuning, and even assembly. Something that 99% of the hot-rod population does not have. Not including the inflated numbers which often times car manufacturers claim in order to gain sales credentials w/ modders.

Listen to the guys w/ experience. I personally have a hard time imagining you making 435whp (about 510hp) w/ a not so big cam, and those heads. I'm not diminishing the GM heads at all, but if they were the best out there, or even close, everyone would be using those instead of the rather expensive AFR's, TEA's, and TFS heads. I'd say AFR's and a good mid-range cam and you could see 435whp. Then again I'm no expert on the matter, but good luck regardless. I hope you prove all of us wrong w/ the GM stuff. Cause that means I could keep the mods in the family...

I made 410 with the GMPP LS6 heads and another GTO owner is putting down close to 430 with them. Both of us have mild(22x) cams.

I have the GMPP LS6 heads. I milled mine down to 60cc, but am still running the stock Ls6 valves. No additional port work over how they came out of the box.

With a G5x2 it made 430/400(through 10 bolt/stock DS)
with a Trex it made 460/430(through 9" and 3" steel DS)
