new to the gm world need help hello everyone im new to the gm world and need some advice on these ls1s. i have pretty much stock c5 with a blackwing intake and a short shifter how can i make some upgrades for cheap lol. i want a catback first how much will i gain from it? ive been looking at the borla straight pipe design mostly because its half the price of most and i wont mind the loudness. what else could i start looking into.
Y dump, Longtubes Headers,electric cutout,LS6 intake swap, pulleys, 85mm MAF...check out GMhigh tech magazine this month; some of the great and cheat LS1 bolts-on...

its a tight budget until i can get rid of my cobra then it opens up a little bit. is the lsx fast intake any better than just an ls6 intake? also is there any power difference between the different catbacks id like to go with the borla straight pipes cus there cheap and i want loud but will i see more of a gain if i go with corsa or even just electric cutouts and keeping the stock catback? ive also heard of the cutouts causing valve problems is that only when there right after the header or...
