Default Dynoed my bone stock 2006 Trailblazer SS

I bought a used '06 TBSS from a friend a few months ago, has around 15,000 miles on it. It's 2WD and completely stock done to the filter.

Went over to Speed Inc. (www.LS1Speed.com) over in Schaumburg, and long time friend Jim Moran (Intmd8) strapped the icebox to the rollers...

328rwhp/345rwtq.

I'm impressed.

I have a CAI, E-fan conversion, and a transcooler to install, and then I plan to get a light tune and see what it puts down. I would be be surprised if it hit 350rwhp or even more.

I want to run the truck stock before I mod it, so I plan to run it at GLD as soon as the track opens.

Nice. I will be curious to see your results moving forward. I have an 07 with AWD. I have a basic e-tune in mine and plan on doing the same mods over the summer. The tune realy wakes these things up. You should break 350 no problem.

I was at Speed when you picked it up. Love the tint with the black out on the B pillar.

That's impressive. When mine had about 800 miles on it, it dyno'd around 308. It was heat soaked since we couldn't figure out how to turn off the stable trac. It would only run to about 50 mph on the dyno. There is no way it would have been 328 though. At the track it ran 14.0X in good air completely stock. Not bad for a 4,500 pound vehicle. Pretty nice truck though.

Well 308rwhp heat soaked vs. 328rwhp sitting outside in 35F weather, probably would hit very similar numbers. Bad were you the guy paying Larry when I was there with the goatee?

I see folks hitting 370rwhp with boltons plus headers, very very impressive. I will just do the CAI, f-body fans + pcmforless conversion harness, basic tune, and the transcooler (also pcmforless). Am tempted to do exhaust of course.

Yeah, that was me. I was going to say hi, but you don't know who the hell I am. I have met you a few times, but over time and usually in more of a crowd.

I hear that people don't really gain much from a cat-back. But sound better. I would like to get a used stock cat-back and delete the muffler or resonator.

Actually I knew I had seen you around before, but I'm old and can't even remember how to tie my shoes.

I think the stock exhaust sounds pretty good for stock, but it might be fun to change the muffler out. I doubt the pipe diameter will do all that much.

I think it is full 3" mandrel bent stainless. I like the sound, but I think it could be louder. The wife drives it the most so she would have to live with it. Not sure she would though.

Good numbers John. Hauling *** in a brick is fun!
