thinking of tuning my stock car?
i know that with a cam and ect a tune can really wake up a car and is basicly a must when upgrading a cam..... but do some of you LSX experts think its a waste of time for a mild bolton car? and by tuning it and removing what GM has it set at is there any down side? like im sure the professionals there know what they are doing and have it tuned for drivability and keep it to where its gonna run for as long as it can..... basicly dont wanna put a custom tune in it if its gonna mess with any of that just for a lil power gain.... anyways i know about tuning and ect and have had plenty of fast cars but i normally dont mess with bolt on cars and thats what this one is....its my daily driver fun car..... jake
With my mods which was basically....
Lid
LT headers
CATTED Y pipe
Cat back
The car was running lean, pulling 6 deg of timing.
Made 324rwhp, m6/10 bolt, lid only, superflow dyno
then
Made 326 rwhp,m6/12 bolt, with all mods, dyno jet (pulling 6 deg.)
then w/ tune
Mad 340 rwhp, m6/12 bolt, with all mods, dyno jet (dyno tune)
Just for safety sake, its important you get this check out.
