Default Drivetrain loss through a slipping A4?

My mods are in my sig. I just had a new Built 4L60E tranny put in my car. The car put down 423rwhp through the old tranny that was slipping really bad. I never realized how much it was slipping until I got this new tranny in. WOW what a difference. Do you guys think I am now putting more hp to the ground with the new tranny? The 423rwhp was with the converter locked. The old tranny was really on its last leg, after the dyno it blew up 3 days later. If I would be putting down more power now, could it be 20-30rwhp or so? My buddy doesn't think it matters if the tranny was slipping. The converter was locked so he figures its going to make the same power to the ground. The 3/4 clutchs is what went out in the old tranny. just some insight on what the problem was..
