livernois stg1 ls6, ls6 intake, tr 220 cam. headers needed for 380+ rwhp?
Got some parts on the way for my automatic 00 ws6! liv stg1 ls6 heads tr 220 cam and ls6 intake. originally i wasnt going to touch my stock manifolds but am leaning the other way now... search didnt really help me so search ***** go home lol... if i got 380rwhp without headers id be happy... i am gonna have a cutout either way..
current mods are only a slp lid and a chokemaster(cutout solves that )
i just dont want y pipe banging issues or leaky headers.... didnt want to lose the cats but thats no biggie if i have to. no sniffer tests here. dont really want to spend the money for catted y pipe...
is an underdrive pulley really worth the money?
im also ordering hp tuners and a plx wideband to tune this thing!
am i dreaming for near 400rwhp?
with only a lid with a dirty paper filter i put down 292hp 307 torque on a dynocom dyno.

you might as well throw headers on there especially since you have to remove the manifolds anyway to do the install..also the same goes for an UDP, you have to remove the factory one so why not just go ahead and buy one. I believe if you do those things you should get close to 400hp or maybe a lil more

i know they're gonna hurt me, im just wondering how much they'll hurt me. cant seem to find this documented anywhere. Ive heard anywhere from 10-20 horsepower stock. Ive also heard you lose lowend torque which i do not want.

That low-end loss crap is a myth. Maybe if you installed open 1 7/8 headers on a stock motor.
You'll be robbing yourself of AT LEAST 25 rwhp by not doing headers. Even on your mild H/C combo. The motor will run alot better with them. There are plenty of headers out there that have awesome fit and finish. No banging, leaking, etc.

thanks guys im gonna order headers. Hoping for the magic 400 mark when its all said and done!
So was that through the 4000 converter and was it locked or unlocked? The heads should be good for around 30-35 horsepower over stock 00 heads i would think?
