Default Ehh, Im somewhat dissappointed.

2004 cts-v
ls6

Although the V normally doesnt dyno as high as 01-04 z06's (why I dont know) Im still somewhat dissatisfied. Shouldnt I be making more power?

k&n flat panel
TB bypass
Tr-55 plugs
Kooks 1 3/4 LT's
No cats
Magnaflow exhaust
Dyno Tuned

I do have an odd raspy flappy exhaust note, Im running around 24* of timing I believe. And the air fuel seems good. Any ideas? would adding a 160*Thermostat and Msd wires do anything? Im also thinking about a pnp throttle body. I also have this 4 inch aluminum intake tube (for some reason the tuner told me to stay away from it because of heat soak?) but my stock tube gets awfully narrow squeeze even worse than the stock gto intake tubes. So Im at a loss. What could be wrong? Torque was at 342

I know not the same, but my auto LS2 GTO put down 359 with the same mods...

It could be your 19" wheels weighing you down...

that would affect the dyno? I believe they are lighter than stock, but an inch bigger so more rotating mass.

Im through a 6 speed tho....isnt the auto supposed to take at least 10-15 away?

I also think that are good #'s for your mods. Throw H/C setup on that thing and really wake it up!

It's a bit lower than I thought it would be, but not "something's clearly wrong" low.

The numbers look fine to me.

The graph looks like it does (against MPH rather than RPM) because they likely had a hard time with the spark signal hookup.

uhhhh the spark signal hookup for the dyno, it doesn't have anything to do with your car except that these late model GMs can sometimes be a lil difficult for that dynojet to get a good spark signal reading from.

Fla,

You've also got to remember that no two dyno's are the same. Do you have any other V's that have used that dyno to compare to? If not I wouldn't sweat it. Dyno's are there to stroke your ego only, if you aren't using it to compare progress from mod to mod.

In december after having my ported fast 90/90 installed, I dyno'd at 378 on a local mustang dyno (FBC's mustang 1100). 10 days ago I went across town to get a baseline beofre my cam install on another dyno (PSI's mustang 1100), and with the same mods, I dyno'd at 355.

It's all relative, don't worry about it.

If you REALLY want to know where you stack up, go do some 1/4 passes, and look at your MPH, and post it up. That will tell the story.

-Chris
