Exactly! Don't get the hang up with this.

BTW, I ran a Yank PY3400 and dynoed 402RWHP (unlocked) and ran 12.17, changed to a Yank 4000SS and dynoed 372 RWHP (unlocked) and went 11.51

Autos and 9" Fords eat HP, but worked very well at the drags.

You have to keep the locked vs unlocked numbers in perspective. The HP isn't really lost, it's just hiding from the dyno

For example, I had my car dyno tuned when it had a lid, SSRA, LT's, ORY, ported TB, dynomouth and a TCI SSF3500 stall. I dynoed 298 rwhp unlocked. That's worse then many stock LS1's dyno. But locked I made around 325 rwhp which is much more in line with what a full exhaust ls1 should make.

With that setup I ran 12.3 @ 109 at the track. 298 rwhp full weight LS1's trap around 104-105 NOT 109. But 325 rwhp LS1's can and do trap 109. So the HP is still there when you need it most. It just doesn't make it on the dyno.

My car dyno'd 322RWTQ and 318 RWTQ with my Vig 3600(4000 converter in reality) unlocked

Never had a chance to dyno it locked I would guess it would be around 345-355RWHP~ Locked

Car ran 12.08-12.15@108.5 @+1500 DA Consistantly
