Default 425 RWHP C6 A6 with a set of AFR's

I finally dyno'd my friends 2007 C6 A6, before the AFR heads and cam the car dyno'd 362 rwhp, with Kook's headers and LPE ported LS6 heads. We gained over 60 rwhp by removing the LPE LS6 heads and going to a set of AFR 205 heads and the cam I call the E-test cam (224/230). We might be installing a Fast 90 and a larger cam to see what we gain.

Nice gain with the AFRs but I would have expected more torque with those cubes and that cam. What was the AF ratio? Was this with LS6 or LS2 intake? Was the cam degreed?
Keep us posted on the FAST results.

I would say you are probably 5 or 10 less do to that spike at the end...

But anyway.. I bet the cam was worth more than the heads.. There is a lot of BS hype out there when it comes to those A#% heads... I bet you would have better gains with the same cam and a set of Patriot stage 3 heads

Just my experience
Actually only 3 horsepower-should of made the pulls beyond 6500 as it was still climbing. As far as the Patriots-they only shine with the blower in my experience or real big cams-but mild build ups like this the AFR's always shine.
the most important thing to consider is this car already had LPE heads, headers and went from 362 tuned to 425. No .040 cometics where used, No EWP, No porting to the LS2 intake or TB. The AFR is 12.8 across the board-as I weld a bung into the header, not read it after the tailpipe-this way it goes directly to my datalogger. The "overall" gain is what is important to note.
