I went with the racetronix fuel pump and the SVO 42#...if you make anywhere over the power you have now the 30# will not be enough. If you get the harness with the racetronix fuel pump you can later add a boost-a-pump and to add fuel pressure to make the 42#s bigger.
Anywho, I guess I am saying that I would not use the 30#s or the stock fuel pump.
Here is a Link I found helpful when picking my fuel system.

A combination of both. I was experiencing a good amount of blow by last year and LGM installed version II of the g5x3 cam, a ported 90 combo and also added a c5 zo6 MAF. After a retune she put down 490 rwhp 445 rwtq up from 457 rwhp 417 rwtq, so with the new results and also a compression test / leak down test all coming back good we thought she was fine. With that being said, between the power she's making and how hard I push my motor I think she just quit on me. Consuming coolant, and a new mysterious oil leak that wasn't present until about 300 miles after I changed the oil after getting her out of storage. Blow by was worse, white and blue smoke was coming out the back. I rode her hard to many times and she finally said F&*K off . LOL.

Hey excessive thanks for the inj/fuel pump link and comments. I'll be talking to LGM tomorrow about that and get back to you on it. Actually I am going to email them now. Anthony is very good about getting back with ya.

Im running the stock fuel pump and a boost a pump set at 20% on my setup without any issues. For injectors i went with 42lb svo's and i have pleny of room left for fuel. I think if you stick with the 30lb injectors you will be pushing them to the max.

Thanks for the comments on injectors and fuel pump. You made damn good power, 550 rwhp 500 rwtq !! Do you have a graph you could post ?? I don't think I'll be seeing 550 rwhp considering my AFR 205's being reused on the bigger motor. Ron did port a 92mm FAST to 95mm and matched a 95 mm TB to it, so that should help a bit, I hope. LGM's big 3 will be replacing my bullets to create a true 3 inch exhaust with no bottle necks. Hopefully I will see 520+ rwhp and 490+ rwtq. I'd be happy with that !!!

Hay Doug,
I seem to remember a post about a year ago and the guy did what you're talking about. He took all his parts, heads, cam, ect off his 346ci and added them to a 402ci. He gained like 25hp just from the CI's but I don't remember how much tq.

Mike, I remember two possible tech members that did something similar. MSGuff and Gannon if memory serves. One had AFR 225's though and made a few more rwhp. I think MSGuff was the one with 205's and did 490/490 with neck snapping throttle response. Again tapping my memory he had FLP headers. Not the best of choices but still got good results. I'll have a larger intake (ported 92 to 95mm with 95mm tb), and better flowing exhaust so I am hopefull that my numbers will be a bit higher.

Sorry i don't have a graph with me right now and thanks to my current desert vacation i wont be able to get to it for a while. I don't think you will have any problem making 520 with the setup your planning

Grimloc3, I see Vengeance did your motor. Do you know what the compression is, and what cam you are running?? I would guess the vindicator is in there, or a custom bigger cam. What injectors did Vengeance use ??

A friend if mine beat the living hell out of SLP 402 With Nitrous and 8psi Vortech
For two years with crappy tune too after that he cracked a pistons.
Good short block.
Good luck Allngn I'm sure you'll get 520hp and the TQ Will rise with 56ci so 490tq is not a problem IMO.
Keep us posted.

I'd be surprised if the SVO 30's would be enough. I checked a recent log and I'm at 83% right now and not excatly sure what power I'm putting down, but I'd have to guess around 450-465. If you're currently putting down 490, you've probably already maxed them out.
The last thing you want to do is hurt your motor because you ran out of injector.

I spoke to Anthony@LGM about the injector question and he too thought that the next size up injector would be a good idea. He also said to not worry about the stock fuel pump holding up. Just need to get some bigger injectors. I'll get back to you in a couple months when this project starts coming together.

As far as my current setup maxing out my injectors, it not. Still some room left, but not too much. 5% left maybe a bit more. So you add another 30 rwhp and 50 rwtq by stepping up to a 402, the 30# injectors probably won't be able to keep up.

Do you mean you are at 95% or 75% with your current injectors? Everything I read says you should only stress your injectors to 80% duty cycle. I would say if you are WOT and hit 85% or 90% is OK but if you are WOT much of the time I like the 80% rule.

Was he suggesting a 37lb. hr would do the trick for your 402?
