Not true by any means. Trust me. I had mine tune by a guy here in DFW and tried tuning mine without the front O2 sensors. Not all shop are perfect. Its the ones that will keep working to fix the problems are the good ones.

Do whatever it takes to get your car out of there, this guy is going to break your car. Get it over to Livernois or someone else in MI who knows what the hell they're doing.

And most of my friends wondered why I would payed so much for the tuner I went too. I would never trust my car with just any mechanic. Most high performance mechanics and tuners are honest. Its mostly the repair type mechanics that will never touch my cars. Sucks you found a jackass for a tuner.

Had the same problems, his tuning is horrid and he will tell you people on LS1tech don't know anything because he was banned from here at least once. No one at all, out of all our sponsors, agreed with any tuning comparisons or results he got and he cannot accept that he doesn't know what the hell hes doing. I went to another tuner and my car ran almost half a second faster with +2.5mph traps and daily drives light years better than Sean could ever do. Do yourself a favor and tell everyone you know to stay away from that shop.

You posted the craigslist ad exactly 2 hours after making this thread, and according to your ad, there is nothing wrong with it....so whats the real story?

First off, I don't know you and I've never delt with Collins but I do know your story doesn't add up.
You put your car up for sale 2 hours after your first post in this thread and in the listing you don't mention a single problem with the car! http://detroit.craigslist.org/car/661119114.html
You even said this in your ad: " idles nice and drives like stock".

Hmmm.. that's funny. You don't mention that in your add!

I really doubt he'd check your u-joints before a dyno tune

Ya sure, it was there for 5 days or about 50-60 working hours and you happen to show up at the exact same time he's putting it on the dyno.

Hmmm... your ad say's you have 52pph injectors!
I got news for you. If your injectors flow 36lbs at 48psi you would have to increase your fuel pressure to 100psi to make them flow 52lbs per hour. So again, I call BS on your injector size. Which is it? 36lbs like you say here or 52lbs on your ad?

Come on, 10 sec's. No one would sit on the rev limiter for 10sec. especially with the customer there.

So then you put it up for sale and don't mention a single problem.
Come on, sounds fishy!

Just so people can read what you wrote on CL here it is, word for word ( Just in case you edit your CL ad ):

i took a loan out to buy this car and to give me some money on the side to build this up but i recently just lost my job and defaulted on my loan now my interest rate is threw the roof and i'd be paying close to twice the amount i borrowed so i need to sell this. im open to offers but their is alot of work into it. so please no low ballers and no joy riders. i built this car to be mine forever but need to sell it so it does not get taken away. i am leaving out prolly a few things alot the lines of whats done to it but this is what i can think of
heres a video of it idleing pretty well before it went to get tuned http://youtube.com/watch?v=Rm4yJfhtKXg
the car is a deep red looks sunset orange metallic in the sun, has halo headlights, clear corners and aftermarket foglights, has silverstar headlights. the t-tops do not leak and the car is only driven in the summer, it has the ss spolier on the car. has a set of 18in rims with 2k miles on them and the tires.dark gray lether interior
the following stuff was just done over the winter alot of things were sandblasted and painted so theres no rust
car has poly motor mounts, poly trans mounts, will throw in a case of amsoil synthetic oil.
engine: iron 6.0 block bored .030 over 4in stroker crank makes it a 408 CI 6.7L. has a eagle crank and rods, diamond forged pistons.11:1 c/r run on 93 octane. cam is a 236/236 .617/.608 114lsa idles nice and drives like stock almost. heads are new from the ls3 corvette has trick flow pushrods and ls3 rocker arms. intake is from the ls3 and has a holley 90mm throttle body and brand new 52lb injectors. FYI - I know Sean. He has my current car for some upgrades. FWIW, he's a conservative tuner. I tune my own vehicles and look to him for advice. My last H/C car - he threw it on his dyno and gave me some advice when it came to timing (suggested I reduce timing) and it picked up power. I'm no idiot when it comes to tuning LS1s. But, I acknowledge the fact that there are people out there that just might know more than me....and Sean is one of those people. His lot is full of Vettes and f-bodies because the local guys trust his work. You want to come on here and bash him for not giving your car a 110 point inspection???? You gave him the keys and asked him to tune it. If there's something noticeably wrong with the car, he's not going to do anything that would damage it. For me, he even went as far as to find me parts for the issues I was having, on short notice, on a Saturday afternoon!!! I don't for one second believe he'd hold your car on the limiter for 10 seconds. I've been with him when he's run cars on the rollers - my car and I was sitting beside him in the passenger seat. I'm too pissed at this kind of b.s. to finish my thoughts....

This thread is ridiculous, I can pretty much guarantee by reading this thread that the owner is stretching the truth/making stuff up. Guys just pissed he built a hack job of a car.

you either have experence with him or you dont, you cant knock the guys experence. If you have any experences w/CARS or can offer this guy some help then do, but getting in the middle of this and bash'n the guy is pointless.

It doesn't take a high post count to be able to PROVE someone is (EDIT: not very bright ) and a liar. I posted facts from the OP's for sale ad. He Owned himself by bitching about some company but yet put's the car up for sale and says it runs as nice as a stock vehicle. It just didn't add up and it doesn't require a highschool education to figure it out.

As for it being my 2nd post and owning a mustang. I have owned a few. I joined this site back in 2006 because I wanted to swap a LS1 into one of them. I've also owned a 10sec Buick Regal, an 11sec FWD Omni and numerous 12/13sec cars. I don't post because I don't feel the need to. My LS1 plans changed.

Bashing the OP ( Who has lied ) has more merit than the bashing of a business owner whom has not been proven to have done anything wrong.
