Yeah, that last number makes a difference.

Heh, I don't venture into this forum very often.

Today I popped in and what do I find...my old cam thread is on the front page

Thanks for the comments guys.

Over one year with the cam, and it's still running great. I need to get thie thing dyno'd past 6300, and see what it makes at one point or another. I'm sure I could switch to a dynojet (or a supoerflow with dynojet correction), and pic up another 25 rwhp with no mechanical changes

The YouTube comments were fun. After a while though, It kinda became like stealing yogurt from a SPED......too easy, and only mildly enjoyable.

50K Mile update:

No real problems. Car still runs great. Still daily driven (120k miles now). I have not replaced the springs (may go to PAC behives if/when I do.) No other engine mods since then.

I did have to swap out an alternator. Not sure if it's related to the UD pulley (I didn't change the pulley on the alternator). If it goes out again, I may swap out the UD pulley.

I guess if you plan it right, and spend the money up front, it will last.

I didn't know that you could put a cam in a northstar motor.

75K mile update: Still haven't replaced the springs. No more alternator issues (must have been an anomoly). Just passed the emmisions test

This has been a great set-up.

Was my daily driver. It is now retired, and I plan to turn it into my (road) track car.

New DD is a V Wagon (torque on the new car is just crazy).

I wanted to update this thread, because it seems everyone reports thier awesome setups at first, but fail to mention that those $2k 100 Hp budget builds only see 2k miles, or blows up after 6 months.
