Default 2004 CTS-V Baseline

2004 CTS-V 27K miles, bone stock zero mods. New rearend installed this week.

Numbers seem inline with what everyone else is making for a 04 in Vegas. Now the mod frenzy can begin

Nice stock numbers. Why did you change rears at only 27k ?? Warranty issues or preparing for the mods ??

Is the car tuned, or did she make these numbers on the factory tune ??

Not trying to flame, but does anyone know why LS6 CTS-V's always dyno so much lower than the LS6 in the Z06?

It dosnt have a m6 and the air intake setup is better on Z06.

CTSV only come M6s. Air intake is more restrictive, exhaust is probably also more restrictive. Dual mass flywheel, 2 piece drive shaft, slightly bigger rear brakes, more lugnuts, probably some tuning as well. A whole bunch of little things that are next to nothing by themselves.

Factory rearend was full of metal, was replaced by the dealership.

Stock tune. M6 car, CTS-V's are all M6.

They dyno low because of super heavy dual mass flywheel, multipiece driveshaft, shitty rearend cradle, crappy intake.

Basically 30hp lost vs a C5 Z06. Nothing some boltons won't cure
