Default What to expect

I know this doesn't matter much right now since it's waiting for turbo, but I'm curious until then what I can expect out of this setup:

8.7:1 CR
Forged 347.
Crane cam 220/224, .551/.551, 114
5.7 heads with exhaust side ported.. GM SS valves with valve job
LS6 intake.
3" Hooker long tube headers.
3" ORY, dumped after bullet resonator before axle.

they say around a 3% loss for each point below stock compression, what would be a likely dynameter result? m6 trans & stock 10 bolt

I would think you might make 380 or so rwhp. Of course you can't use the headers unless you go front mount . So not sure exactly what the point of the question is. You could always dyno it now but as said unless you go rearmount you are not going to be using those headers.

true. those headers won't work for the front mount. I still haven't figured out yet how it will be done to keep the a/c & stock k member. There is still a possibility switching to higher compression heads and the supercharger route, who knows. but as for now the mods listed in the first post I'll be driving with for awhile. I figured 375rwhp - guesstimated 5% hp from CR loss would net between 350-365 rwhp.

hmmm. anyone else wanna chime in? I'm almost thinking I might want to not go the turbo route now. Just SOOO much work and I haven't even got my car put back together yet from swapping motors.

+1 on that. Your motor is FORGED and SETUP for boost. Get a procharger so you can use your headers. The procharger with 12 psi could put you in the high 500 rwhp range. Good luck.

thanks for the replies. I wasn't even going to expect that much but hey if it gets more horses I won't complain! the only thing about supercharger is it cost a little more and I like turbos way more. I think the APS turbo kit works with stock k & a/c... I'll just have to save up for a good FI kit.
