Default 08 LS3 mild cam/UD results

Our latest. The before numbers were with LTs and Halltech CAI. We installed one of our custom cams, springs, pushrods (tons of power there ) and an UD pulley.
This is a pretty mild cam. Lopes nice in open loop, once warmed up and in CL has just a bit of rough idle/lope.
We love the L92 heads. We've had great luck with them. I think primarily because we resist the temptation to over cam them.
I'm sure with a ported intake and ported TB we could get real close to 500 rwhp without ever taking the heads off.

Nice results! I see many other shops over camming the LS3 and the LS7 motors to try and make big power. It does not take a huge cam to make big power as you indicated.

Think of what that car would do with 6-7 lbs of boost.

Nice results.

445? I would like to see that one. I have yet to see one crack 420 on our dyno. Buitl/tuned by us or anyone else. Thats with the combo you've stated minus ported intake. AND, we had one that had everything including ported intake and it didnt even crack 420.
Theres not a ton left in them tune wise. Not like the LS1s.

432rwtq must be nice in a cam-only car. Those extra cubes compared to a 346 help

Impressive, but an unfair comparison. Even the op stated the torco was probably worth 30 hp, which would knock it right back down to 420.

All lies. A head with a large runner can't make torque like that.

Good job Ed. You hit the nail on the head there..

^^^This reply says it all. I'm to a point now I dont buy 95% of the Mustang dyno results I read. Damn shame too, they're great tuning tools. Just that the numbers are all over the place. No consistency. Too much room for operator "error"

My brother has an 08 A6 automatic with LG's, Ed Wright Dyno tune, EWP/stat, and the factory NPP exhaust that cracked out 418RWHP. If the car would have been a manual it would have done over 420RWHP no problem. I know 450RWHP can be done with a manual and full bolt-ons.
I'll get the graph.
P.S. your right not a lot of added power from a tuned LS3, the tune is very good from the factory.

I love how people think the 260 runner will kill Tq production too, lol.

Not too shabby. Why didn't he add the ud pully while putting the ewp on ?? Would've been a killer gas mileage mod. Very good numbers thru an a6.....

allngn_c5 you may know my brother from the corvette forum Z516spd??
That car on the run flats did 7.6x at 96mph and 11.70 at 120 with a 1.87 60ft, still had the stock intake system even the CAI. I figured with a ported manifold/tb with a few more mods we could possible hit 440RWHP with bolt-ons. Its all in the combo.
