gears vs horsepower and torque

gears vs horsepower and torque i treid the search but was coming up with gas and 1/4 mile times. my question is how much of a hp and tq differance is there from a 10 bolt with 323s to a 12 bolt with 373s?
If you're talking about power loss a 12 bolt with 3.73 will run faster than a 10 bolt with 3.23's
Don't worry about power loss, the 10 bolt is a POS and the faster you get rid of it the better.
most ppl say that you loose 12-13% through an m6 and ten bolt. A 12 bolt will probably loose a couple more percent. But this is just a really rough guess. I mean, there are so many diff factors. It's "worth" it though for the added durability of the 12 bolt.

the reason I was asking is i had my car dynoed with a k and n fipk headers, ory and catcback with my 10 bolt and 323s and made 350hp ona mustang dyno, few months later the 10bolt broke, bought a 12 bolt with 373s and everything else in my sig and made 365hp also a mustang dyno, but different location.

A 12 bolt with lower gears (higher numerically) would likely cost you in the vicinity of 10 HP....more if the ratio change was more dramatic. The 9" would have been in the 12-15 range (with the same gear change) due to its less efficient pinion location and heavier internal parts.
Bottom line is all dyno's read a little different....especially Mustangs IMO because alot of them are messed with to get them closer to DJ numbers so their customers dont leave deflated after spending their money on the dyno time. Any future testing should be done at the same location if you really want to learn whether your future mods were worth anything and quantify how much.

Im an a4, after reading the dyno results closely im thinkin it was "messed with" things just well just say add up, I only go to one shop now where i did the 365hp at
One more thing to think of is tire size. When I went from 3.23 and the stock 275x17 to the 3.73 and 28" tire, (10 bolt), I noticed on the calibration the speedo was only 2 MPH off, not much. Your only loss would be the bigger diff itself, whatever choice is made. Just an opinion.
If the 4:10 were micronite from vinci the process did not lower the "dyno loss" as much as I thought it would..On their site it claims you will gain power if you have this done..I figure by going from 3:23 to 4:10 you'd loose around 15 rwhp,so if the 4:10 were processed I thought it would be lowered..
Not trying to knock or anything just curios..
I'm thinking of getting some in the future and your the only one that I know who has them..I think Predator has them too though
