Default Cam Only T-rex

I got a t-rex in a a stock shortblock with 241 heads. The car is not completely tuned yet but so far it has made 335 corrected on dyno. It has all the goodies (fast 90, longtubes, etc ....). But is a th350 with a huge stall that flashes at about 4800. I know dyno numbers dont mean anything but does this seem low ? BTW this exact dyno on my a4 01 z daily driver with full bolt ons put down 298, so we have some correlation how numbers are on this mustang dyno. Im thinking after its tuned we'll have 340hp. IF it matters there were slicks on the rear.

something is wrong with a nice cam like that you should have over 400whp I know people with full boltons making close to 350

Yeah, that seems right with the TH350 and the loose stall. Get it tuned and go to the track, it will run

We were just about done on the 4th pull and had a slick come apart.

See what it does at the track. I wouldn't be surprised if your 335 rwhp car moved like a 450 rwhp car...

Isn't a fast 90 on stock 241 heads just wrong? I wonder if you would make better numbers with an LS6 intake manifold.

Its makin just about what it should. Huge stalled auto + mustang dyno = shitty #'s. I think that its comparable with a 430-440 car.

I thought the fast 90 needed an intake flow number above the stock 241 head flow numbers to be worth while. I forget who posted it, I think it was like above 280cfm on an intake port for the fast to make good numbers.

I dynoed 337 on a Mustang Dyno through an unlocked 4800 stall, 4.30 gear, and T-Rex cam. Pretty much the same setup as you. I redynoed it on a dynojet and made 380 unlocked and 423 locked.

Alright that just made me feel alot better about the numbers lol. Do you have any idea how much timing they have one your tune ? My car isnt fully tunned and made 335. A slick came apart on the dyno not a pretty site. I guess that what i get for buying used tires.

My car with a th400, vig 4000, LS6 intake, hooker LT's, ORY and stock 98 heads made 309/304 on a dynojet. I was going to install a t-rex with that and I was looking for at making atleast 360 to the wheels. The slicks are going to take away from you dyno numbers.

Looks about right to me. Take it to the track and you won't care what the dyno numbers were! It'd be easy to get some $$ races by waving the dyno sheet at the uninformed though...
