Default G-tech Comp. FAQS

Hey, just got a g-tech pro competition and i was wondering if anybody had info. I'm specifically wondering about weight and actual horsepower accuracy.
The g-tech states that it measures NET_HORSEPOWER, which is something like RWHP but minus the aero-drag. (Or something like that!)
I just finished calibrating it and i put in a 3950 weight, considering i have a conv.Z Is that to much? Has anybody gotten any crazy-a$$ HP readings, reading that i wish i could have!
LaterZ!

Your HP numbers will be higher than they really are with that weight. Find a place that has scales like a local dragstrip or big truck shop and weigh the car.

I found it was accurate to within about 10-15% as far as measuring HP. The times are fairly accurate though.lately I only use mine for 0-60- and lateral acceleration.

Don't forget to add your weight also. Your driving the car remember. See if you get more realistic readings that way.
I did that to mine and the readings make more sense.

I was assuming anyone using any device along these lines was adding their weight.

Yes, i have aded my own weight. also, my a4 tranny is not running good. I think the 3-4 clutch 4l60e virus has attacked my Z! So i can't do any real quarter-mile runs because it stays in second gear all day at wot!

Yeah, ive downloaded all my runs and the program rocks! All I need is a SF-840 dyno and im good!!
