Induction:
TSP Lid/K&N
TR Ported MAF Ends/Stock MAF
SLP Bellows
Bauer Ported TB
LS6 Intake
Engine:
3.905 Diamond Pistons/Lunati Pro Bilelt Rods
Modified Hydrolic Lifters
CompCam 977 Springs/Ti Retainers
T&D Shaft Mount Rocker Arms/7.25 PR
ASP Pulley
Exhaust:
Hooker LT Headers
Mufflex OR Y-Pipe/4" Spintech Dual 3" Outlets (ie No Cutouts)
Drivetrain:
M6 w/ Spec Stg 3 ( ie no aluminum FW )
Alum. DS
Stock 10bolt w/ 3.73s
Stock 17" TA wheels w/ Potenzas at 30psi
Tuning:
Adjusted IFR for 42lb Injectors ( ltrims -2%avg )
And Adjust the RPM vs PE Table for the AF on dyno 13.4~
Stock Timing Tables
Im assuming these numbers are corrected for weather I dont know for sure. Wasnt too bad in the dyno though.
was gonna richen it up a tad more went from 409 / 412 with the first increase in RPM vs PE but a rocker arm came lose on the dyno so had to call it a day...
here is the graph

my buddy has a Z06 with TEA LS6 StgII Heads 222 Cam I think, Headers etc etc... and did 420 today on the same dyno... im happy too bad his car is 400lb lighter than mine... i would hand him his hat or then again... i just put the A4 to 6spd swap in the car last week and I suck *** at driving still
Thanks Don for the help today! couple other Z06s were dynoing 380-390s today with just bolt ons... bastards

Those are some pretty good numbers, I'm sure there is some more left in tuning. Especially since you are still on the stock timing tables. Why did you go with 42lb injectors? A big dry kit or some forced induction in your future?

I have an NOS pro race fogger system w/ NOSzels instead of regular foggers to go on the car... just need some line bent.

Holy crap man!! That sounds bad ***! That cam should be great with the nitrous. Please let us know how much it ends up making. What are you hoping for with the forged bottom end?

Jason-- there are a few issues I see with the graph.
First-- spin tech muffler is worse than stock, I have seen 20 hp gains from taking it off
second-- there is something majorly wrong with the engine, the car makes over 400 hp at 5500 rpm peaks before 6000 rpm and flat lines before dropping off a cliff. This indicates a problem with the valve train usually valve float can cuase this with the 977's I dont think that can be an issue
try dynoing through an open Y recheck your preload on the shubeck lifters and play with the tune you should run in the 440's with the 10 bolt
You can always call me if you need any advise

thanks Jay, definately not valve float... but i have no idea if there is a problem or not. lifters are adjusted as best as I can get them, no preload. no lash, did it last night, probably why one of the rocker arms came loose...
figure something out though!

sorry to hear about your low dyno, your graph looks horrid, If you ask me i would say you have valve float, the graph takes a nose dive, there is something wrong, good luck with removing your mufler and tuning but I dont think that will cure the hp curve from nose diving

I took a look in external to see if it was true about the spintech or if it was just another exuse for a low dynoing car. this is what I found

For those considering Spintech exhaust...
#611765 - 07/16/03 12:52 AM
be aware that it chokes the motor significantly. This past Saturday, my car was on the dyno for a full tune, and through the full exhaust (dual 3" into a Flowmaster 2*3" to 4" Y, back into a 4" Spintech), I was only seeing 410-415 corrected HP and 380-390 corrected torque with a ported LS6 headed G5X2 cammed car (A/F was consistently 12.9 to 13.1, with no KR). Open the exhaust (read: turn downs after the collectors), and power as well as torque instantly jumped ~25-30 units. I realize that this sort of gain isn't exactly unheard of if you're uncapping a 3" catback, but I (as well as others at the dyno) felt that that kind of power loss through a 4" exhaust was excessive.
Just something to be aware of; that's all I'm saying.

looks like it may be true we will see if you pull it the next time you dyno, I still dont think it will cure the nose dive, keep us updated
