I'm not sure if Vengeance wants that info to be given out. If they do, I'll let them tell ya.

For those interested in my build, my car could be picked up in about a week, hopefully, then the swap / build will begin. I don't have to mention where, as I am sure we all know.

I am hoping to make numbers on par with what Ron and his shop have been turning out from their 402's. Still want to stop in for a visit Ron if time permits, and does the offer still stand to for using the dyno for comparison numbers ??

Corrected to what? Hopefully you're not claiming 500rwhp from a 346 with an automatic trans

That graph is a PITA to read. Different scaling for both torque and horsepower and no RPM readout. I assume the converter was locked?

As far as I understand, the converter was locked. I could be wrong so hopefully Mike/Ron can chime in on this one.

Yes, I am claiming 500rwhp from a 346 with an automatic trans. The dyna pack read 7% lower than a dynojet. So, if you do the math for the HP, you get 498 at the wheel, plus the 10HP that was taken off to save the shortblock cause i'm a panzy and need my motor to last, the number came out to 508rwhp. I agree, that graph is a pita to read. There are no mustang dyno's here on island that I know of so I go by dynojet numbers.

Damn!

Reading a # like that, through THAT tranny, THAT converter, and on THAT dyno, with THAT setup is like reading a 520 rwhp # on a H/C M6 through a 9"!!!

CONGRATULATIONS

That makes sense. The dyno that I run my car on reads 12% low on Sundays but only 8% low on the others days of the week. My last pulls were on Sunday so I can take my 513RWHP and add 12% so my car really made 583RWHP. Everyone knows that 3.90's cause a dyno to read lower so I'm going to abitrarily add 15RWHP so I'm now at 598RWHP, my air filter was a little dirty so I'm going to add 10RWHP and now I know for a FACT my car really makes 608RWHP.

This ricer math is FUN!!! WHEEEE!!

Hmmm, I understand now Kevin. Let me break out my calculator to see what mine pulled. It was on a Friday, so you know what that means...

EDIT: Right now it is at 615 RWHP but I am sure there are a couple of things left to add in there...

Hahaha.. You guys crack me up... I told the guys that the dyno SEEMED to be on par with the #s... That being said, the dyno owner/operator said he has tested against local dynojets and his #s are consistantly 7% lower... Take it with a grain of salt...

As for the 10hp shortblock deal.. If you saw several of the graphs we were shutting down the combo about 6500rpm and it was still climbing very aggressively. We didnt want the customer to lose a rod bolt in his stock bottom end. Im confident there is another 7 to 10rwhp with more rpm...

That being said, at the end of the day the car made 466rwhp on a DynaPak thru a 4000 stalled A4 and full exhaust...............

466rwhp, fine, nobody will argue that. VERY respectable numbers! But to claim 508rwhp with the owners "math" is ridiculous. Furthermore, to claim it's even more special because of the loose 4000 stall torque converter is very misleading. If the converter was locked, the looseness/stall rating of the converter means nothing in terms of dyno power.

No 1/4 mile on the island over there....

Converter was NOT locked...

Given the fact the owner of the dyno said his dyno reads 7% lower than several DynoJets on the island I think the customer has the right to figure that in if he so desires.... Hopefully he will get to take it to a Dynojet when time/funds allow and make the #.... If not, like I said no big deal.. its still 466rwhp thru an UNLOCKED 4000 stalled A4 drivetrain.. No reason to **** on anyones parade
