Default Should I do it or just walk away?

I was recently talking to a guy who I knew had a Mustang but didn't know anything about it. So I started fishing to see what he's got. He said its a 96 Cobra with "Pages of Mods!" Then I asked about these pages... From the few things I picked up is he has full suspension, billet short throw, cat back, and CAI. I asked if there was any inner motor mods done to it and he said he doesn't know of any. And he said this was the first year of the 4.6L SOHC motor.

So I have the mods below and was wondering how you guys think I stack up against him and if I have a chance for a win or should I not pursue the race. Also does anyone have similar mods to let me know about what my RWHP is. Just kinda curious because I never had it on a dyno. I also still have stock gears.

Thanks guys...

You should rape him, those were terds. My friend had one with a catback, cai, 373s, and a short throw and my stock A4 273 geared Lt1 car was even with him up to 100 and then i started pulling hard.

well lets say this... You will get him np.... that being you can drive it..

I had a 03 mustang gt... that car in stock form could pull that cobra np....
my buddy had a 96 or 97 cobra when I had 1st gotten the GT, and when we raced he was so mad that I pulled him... He was so bent on that he had a cobra... a slow one, but in his eyes it was a cobra...

But you should have no problem with that guy.

the only time i really worry about a 4.6 is if it is supercharged, turbo, or nitrous,

If any mustang has N/A setup with street tires its pretty much a given you will win.

If he's an excellent driver on drag radials or slicks and you can drive, it will be close..but I'll still give you the advantage. Barry Shepard got a 12.99 out of a 96 Cobra with similar mods so they are capable.
