IDK about stock 1/4 times, but some guy on here has one that dyno'd like 200 hp and near 200 torque stock. The motors CAN be nice...depending on turbo, health of engine, ect ect ect. You should be able to take him, unless the "couple of mods" is a larger turbo, more boost, or any of that ****.

95' MR2? Are you sure? Only a hundred and something came to the US, and they're very very rare.
Depending on mod's, and what else is done to the car depends on how fast it is . My brother has a 91' NA with a 3S turbo swap in his, as much weight reduction as possible while retaining most interior panels and carpet, HKS GT2540r Ball bearing turbo kit, intercooler kit, CAI, MBC @ 13psi, Fuel pump, 550 Injectors, etc.. Stay's right next to my 11 sec. LTx from a 20-30roll. He also has a lot of work done to his though.
Get some more mod's and I'll ask him what it'll run.
