friend just bought one, well kinda a friend, someone i know and said the only way he will race is to put up 500 bucks, thought it was a bit much and kinda scared me away until reading on the faithful net that my balt is faster on paper, what do you guys think will happen on the street? says his car is good for 14.3 @ 102 i believe and my balt is good for 13.9 @ 103 w/ no lift shift and launch control, what do you guys think?

Need more details.. is his car an auto? What wheel/tire combo does he have? If he has the heavier wheels (larger) and an auto I could see you pulling this off.

I dunno man. 300 HP is pretty stout for that car. I would look at the performance specifications for GM cars running similar weights and that particular engine and see what they are putting down.
I would say that it's good for a high 13. What do they supposedly trap at?
