Default What ET should I get?

2000 Camaro Z28 A4

SLP air lid
FLP longtubes
Speed inc true duals dumped at the axle
80MM summit TB
MSD 8.5 Superconductors w/ NGK Tr55 plugs
Built 4L60E with a 2500 stall
2.73s
No suspension mods except for the hose mod
On 285 Kuhmo Ecsta ASX tires
Getting a full tune this week and probably 3.42s the week after.

My problem is I get about a 1.8 60 foot but I run 13.5s in the 1/4 mile. I'm wondering if its from the gears or what. Should I be running faster with these mods and what do you think I will run after?

Thanks ahead of time

Sounds like you need a tune and gears. That sixty is pretty damn good on street tires.

2.73s don't help and if you had a real big stall (4k) it wouldn't matter as much but your stall is pretty mild so gears affect ET more. I'd get the tune after the gears unless your tuner doesn't mind fixing the tune for the gear change for free????

What MPH are you trapping?

What's the DA at the track that day?

It's about right. Some skins and you may be able to hit 12's.

I've got a 3.42 rear end sitting in the garage, it's probably going to go in Tuesday. I didn't think that gears would really change the tune that much.
The car traps at about 102-103MPH. My best was a 13.4 at 103 and I haven't hit that since I've done a few more bolt ons. I'm wondering if the tune is that far off know. I know people that have got into the 12s with 2.73s. I know that the 60 foot is pretty good because I know people with 2.5 60s that run 12s also and trap a little higher than I do. Its really confusing. I'm not sure what DA is by the way. Sorry.

Air density. If you have bad air then that could account for your slow traps.

Just look up your track's info and input it. You should be able to tell what the DA was the times you ran.

Yeah your speedometer and trans tables will definitely be affected.
